Manchester, UK

£40,000 - £45,000 + BIG Bonus

Full Time

About the Role

Don’t be a Pangolin. They’ve got a lot in common with some Architects.

They’re lonely and a bit sad for the most part.

There are a lot of reasons for this. One of those is because they’ve been passed up for promotion in the past.

Ask any Pangolin, and despite working in a very relaxed, tropical environment, where they’re mostly protected from predators by a thick skin, there’s only so much room for progression in pangolin companies.

That's because, despite Pangolins being very capable, there's just no room at the higher levels of seniority.

It seems Pangolish companies don’t grow very much. Because if they did, new offices in places like Manchester would spring up with new teams, where there would be loads of spaces to go from Project Pangolin to Associate inside the first 2 - 3 years.

Like this job in Manchester, where exactly that is happening right now. Where you can go from Project Architect to Associate inside the first 2 - 3 years.

No chance of being remotely bored, or pigeon holed or stuck in one sector either. As well as a few project types that have grown the practice to where they are now: Resi, Logistics, Retail, and Commercial, they’re adding in Education and Health with a couple of big Director level names joining.

This is before I mention that they already pay really well in comparison to everyone else. And that doesn’t include a typical 5% - 10%+ annual bonus as well as a typical annual increment of 5% - 7% before you even have the “Am I getting promoted?” conversation.

They’ve got the usual start early, finish early or vice versa flexitime and are happy for you to fit in your work life around family life.

It’s also pretty fun working at a multidisciplinary company where your colleagues are the client advisory team.

Here’s what you’ll need:

Be a qualified Architect.
Don’t be scared of delivery, you’ll get to design but you’ll need to deliver too!
Competent at client, co-consultant and site interaction and communication. You really will be managing clients regularly from Stage 0 - 7.
Revit knowledge.
