Preston, UK

£38,000 - £45,000

Full Time

About the Role

Let’s face it you signed up to be an Architect because you were a bit Arty in college.

You probably didn’t sign up to spend most of your time delivering someone else’s project.

That is precisely what most Architects spend nearly all of their time doing.

If you’re going to buck that trend you want to do it early on in your career, so it sticks.

Ideally you’d do it somewhere that it’s highly valued, that isn’t crowded with designers all arguing over design options for every staircase and hallway. Somewhere that you’d stand out, get easily recognised and progressed up the ladder quickly.

Somewhere that they aren’t complete b*ll ends would also be nice. Where you’re not doing overtime, where you get paid well and do get the chance to get promoted a couple of times in the next few years because it’s not a totally crowded management structure.

A place where you also wouldn’t be bored would be nice. You can be the best designer in the world but if all you’re designing is medical waiting rooms and residential layouts then you’re probably not living up to the dream either.

What if you had some serious variety; Indoor markets, Sports Stadia & some Leisure facilities, Education… even community projects, outdoor spaces, Historic and cultural buildings and more.

Is that closer to what you expected in your college days?

What you’ll need

Qualified Architect, ideally within the last 3 years.

Strong experience on RIBA stages 0 - 3, but it doesn’t have to be exclusively the early stages.

GREAT communicator, and confident in front of clients presenting.
